"Almost Every Bar or Nightclub EVAR" deaf Fail

Sit with group of friends.
Waitperson: "Would you like a drink?"
Me: "Yes, do you have a list of your beers?"
Waitperson: *recites list of beers*
Me: *interrupts* "No, I'm deaf, do you have a written list?"
Waitperson: "Uhm, no..."
Me: "Then I've changed my mind, I won't be having anything after all."

(I'd list places, but that would get very very long.)

I tell them that I'm deaf and to please repeat the list. I'll make 'em repeat it as many times as necessary :-P

Part of what is going on is that the daily selection changes, but would it kill them to print out a simple list, one per waiter, for the day?

Better still, create a card stack. One card per brand. New brand? New card. Existing brand gone for good? Pitch the cards. Beginning of shift, grab the cards for what's currently in stock and serving. Instant list, minimal reprints....
