"Almost Every Bar or Nightclub EVAR" deaf Fail

Sit with group of friends.
Waitperson: "Would you like a drink?"
Me: "Yes, do you have a list of your beers?"
Waitperson: *recites list of beers*
Me: *interrupts* "No, I'm deaf, do you have a written list?"
Waitperson: "Uhm, no..."
Me: "Then I've changed my mind, I won't be having anything after all."

(I'd list places, but that would get very very long.)

Amen.

And given how loud bars are, it would undoubtedly be easier on the server if they always had a printed list to pass around, so they don't need to shout over the band.

And it would also be easier on customers who forget what the server said about the beer/wine list :) The printed list is a win-win all around, really.

Exactly.

Edit: "Win-win all around" is true of so many accessibility solutions.
