If you're gonna put in a door opener, please put it where I can reach it before I go through the door!
This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I'm so pleased you mentioned it. My university had a building where the door opener was right next to the door jamb, OFF THE PATH, over a FLOWER GARDEN. What? I mean, really. WHAT?
